Quechua Hiking Backpack 23L

The NH Escape 500 23 litre backpack has been designed by our hiker designers to accompany you on your walks, hikes and in your daily life.Our motivation? To provide a comfortable backpack with compartments and accessories. Your best daily companion with its 3 compartments, 14 pockets and smart functions.

How is volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: we fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
The main bag’s volume capacity is 23 L.
We have measured the volume with the 2 water bottle outer side pockets, its total capacity reaches 25 L.

To fully enjoy your hikes, we put comfort at the heart of our product design.

The back, shoulder straps & handle are comfortable because of their thickness and construction composed of different types of foam padding covered with a 3D mesh to improve ventilation & drying.
The chest strap has cushioning, & its height and width is adjustable.- Back: 5 pads made from 2 types of foam (PE – PU) 15 mm thick,
– Shoulder straps made from 2 types of foam (EVA – PU) 8-13 mm thick.

14 pockets and 3 compartments to keep you organised

– 3 compartments with numerous pockets (14), to separate and organise all your belongings,
– 1 secure zipped compartment, including 2 pockets for 15” laptop and 13” tablet, raised to avoid impact,
– 6 zipped pockets, 1 hidden zipped pocket, 1 6.8” phone pocket (left strap),
– 2 extendable and covered bottle holders,
– 1 organiser and 1 key holder,
– 1 cable inlet and 1 battery pocket,
– 1 lamp holder,
– 1 suitcase attachment strap.

WATERPROOFING

The components of the bag are water-repellent so that you can temporarily continue walking/hiking in light rain. Caution: this backpack is not watertight/waterproof and it does not have a rain cover.

This bag can be used as cabin baggage for a plane trip as its dimensions meet airline (IATA) requirements. We recommend that you contact your airline for details of the size and weight restrictions on cabin baggage.

Tested for optimum durability and strength

To guarantee the durability of the bag, laboratory tests are conducted on the components and assemblies to replicate the ageing of the backpack.
For example, for a fabric, we test the resistance to abrasion and tearing, the colour fastness when exposed to UV light and washing, and the waterproofing.
We use these tests to guarantee the bags for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase on the receipt.

How to adjust your backpack?

– Loosen all the straps, shoulder, stomach and chest,
– Put the bag on,
– Buckle the chest strap, adjust the height and width,
– Tighten the shoulder straps (top to bottom),
– Adjust as needed.
It’s adjusted!

How to fill your backpack?

Put your heavy items in the bottom and the laptop, picnic items for example in the intended places. Pack your clothes around these items;
– Place small items for daily use (phone, sun cream, map, glasses, keys, wallet, etc.) in the pockets ;
– Water bottle(s) will go in the outer side pockets intended for this purpose.
